Service Description

In this class, kids 6-11 will learn cookie-making and decorating basics with an Easter theme and a strong focus on baking and oven safety. They'll taste and enjoy the result of their work with classmates, and can bring home any sweet leftovers! Our food-positive philosophy: At Live Free & Dine, our approach is food positive: we know that building a positive relationship with food and cooking from an early age encourages all sorts of positive health & wellness outcomes later in life. We never blame, shame, or talk about bodies except to explore how food can fuel us and help us feel our best. Note: gluten-free options are unfortunately NOT available for this class. Class Duration: 90 minutes Level: Beginner For: Kids ages 6-11. No parent required... or allowed! This is a kids-only class, led by our resident expert with a strictly safety-first approach. Instructor: Chef Karen Note on food allergies: because we use a wide range of ingredients in our kitchen, we can't accommodate severe food allergies. However, we are happy to provide 1:1 guidance and may be able to come to your home for special events - just reach out and let's chat.

Cancellation Policy

Safety is our number one priority for everyone who sets foot in our kitchen: our safety requirements for class participants are the exact same as for our professional chefs. SHOES, CLOTHES & HAIR: All class participants including children must wear fully close-toed shoes & socks (fully covering the foot and toes), long sturdy pants like jeans that fully cover the legs, and long sleeves. Think sneakers, boots, or hiking boots. Tights, thin leggings, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, short skirts, open toed shoes or sandals will not be permitted and the person wearing will not be allowed to participate. We don't keep extra clothes on hand so please make sure to dress appropriately! Long hair must be worn back with a hairband, hat or scarf. We will provide aprons and all equipment and food. Bringing your own knives is fine but not needed. CONDUCT: No intentional threatening or otherwise unsafe conduct is permitted at any time during class, including verbal or physical conduct. Instructor may ask any class member behaving in a way they deem unsafe to leave the premises immediately with no refund. CANCELLATIONS: Full refund available for cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable; may be eligible for store credit or reschedule at the management's discretion. ALLERGIES: Food allergies must be made known at the time of registration. Our kitchen uses many different kinds of ingredients so we are not able to accommodate severe food allergies; we are happy to provide 1:1 guidance and arrange in-home events. Any participant with a life-threatening allergy is expected to provide their own epi-pen on their person at the time of the course and ensure the staff is aware of where and how to administer it. ILLNESS: If any participant (child or adult) appears to have symptoms of an illness upon arriving for the course (i.e. fever, runny nose, sneezing, persistent cough), they may be asked to leave for the safety of other participants and market staff & patrons, even if they are wearing a mask, due to the close quarters and hands-on nature of the class. General mask-wearing is absolutely fine by us and up to the participant - do your thing. BOOKING: Max 2 participants per booking. Lil Radish classes are 1 sign up for 2 people - please make note! Folks hoping to attend as a group must sign up separately. Contact us to schedule your private or corporate event for 3 or more folks - we LOVE events!
